Reimbursemenet Program

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding your problems with organizing care for the feral cats near to you, and for your attempt to keep them healthy and not reproducing.  As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we work hard according to our mission and with strict rules dictated by insurance and applicable law, (sadly we are not able to trap the cats for you). As much as we would like to be able to solve all problems with feral cat colonies in Tuolumne County, we simply cannot.

Here is what we can do for you and your situation:

  • Loan you traps & provide information about how to use them

  • Coordinate with you to arrange a spay or neuter with a local vet or clinic. We use Jamestown vet and can get appointments there.

  • If you cannot afford to pay, we can refer you to local rescue organizations that offer vouchers for spay/neuter

  • TSN also can reimburse up to $50 per cat (see below)

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SPAY/NEUTER $50 REIMBURSEMENT

  • Make an appointment at Second Chance Spay and Neuter (209-454-0966) or any other local vet of your choice.

  • Email us (tspayneuter@gmail.com) to let us know where your appointment is, the date and how many cats you are having spayed/neutered.

  • Wait for us to acknowledge that we have received your email (usually within 24 hours).

  • Pay for the services you received and send us a copy of your receipt by email along with your street address.

  • We will send you a check for $50 per cat fixed.

NOTE Vouchers can be obtained at the following:

·        Sonora Cat Rescue, (on the 15th of every month)

·        FOAC

·        Northside Pet Connection  (Groveland, Greenley Hill, Coulterville, Lake Don Pedro, Big Oak Flat, areas only)

In return we ask that you keep the appointments we help to arrange, pick up the feral cat when they are ready, return the traps and limit your feeding of the feral cats to once a day at the most.

We wish you the best success and applaud your efforts in fighting this immense problem in our community.

Kind regards, The TSN Team
